Nicole Twine, PhD
Dr. Nicole Twine is the Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and the Entity Business Practice Officer (EBPO) of Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital. She has been working with Houston Methodist for over 11 years in progressive clinical leadership roles. She worked as an Associate Chief Nursing Officer at Houston Methodist Hospital in the Texas Medical Center prior to joining as a CNO of Houston Methodist Willowbrook in March 2020.
In her current role as a CNO, Nicole is responsible for the operational and strategic vision, as well as the creation and implementation of all nursing strategies. She has direct oversight of various service lines, which include Neuroscience, Critical Care, Emergency, Surgery, Cardiovascular, Digestive, and Bariatrics. She also oversees the Centers for Professional Excellence Education Department, Magnet Program, Nursing Informatics, and the Advanced Nurse Practitioner Program.
Prior to joining Methodist, Nicole worked as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP-BC) for the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Medicine in the Department of Neurosurgery and the Cardiovascular Service line at Memorial Hermann Hospital. She has over twenty-six years of experience in nursing, sixteen years as an advanced practice nurse specializing in critical care, and eleven years as a nursing leader.
Nicole has served as clinical faculty for the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston School of Nursing and the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Nursing and as a graduate teaching assistant at Texas Woman’s University.
Nicole received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical School in Galveston, her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical School in Galveston, and her Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing Science from Texas Woman’s University. She is licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and board-certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Executive (NE-BC).

Nicole is also a Board Member for Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM), a member of Texas Nurse Practitioner, Society of Critical Care Medicine, Houston Area Nurse Practitioners, Texas Organization of Nurse Executives, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
