Rev. Diane McGehee, J.D.
Reverend Diane McGehee, J.D., currently holds pivotal roles as the Senior Pastor at Bering Memorial United Church of Christ since 2017, and as the Founder and Executive Director of the public charity Together in Hope since 2009. She has an extensive background in law, maintaining her position as an attorney at McGehee, Chang, Landgraf, Feiler from 2004 to the present. Her past experiences include serving as Director for the Center for Missional Excellence of the Texas Annual Conference of the UMC, overseeing areas such as Hispanic Ministries and Disaster Response, and holding attorney positions at prominent law firms including Fibich Hampton Lebron and Fulbright and Jaworski.

McGehee's board experience is significant; she has been the Founder and Director of Together in Hope, and held positions on boards such as Justice for Our Neighbors (2014-2016) and the Center for Reconciliation at Duke Divinity School. Her educational achievements are equally distinguished, including a Master of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology and a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School, both with high honors. Beyond her professional life, McGehee is deeply committed to social justice issues, including homelessness and immigration, and enjoys poetry, nature, and spending time with her large family, including five children and their families, and her two dogs.
