July 2024 Newsletter: “We Are Finally Reunited,” Says Angie

Updated: Oct 9

Dear Friends and Supporters,

In the aftermath of a recent natural disaster, we are thankful to continue our mission of supporting our community. Angie's story reminds us of our purpose. Leaving Honduras to reunite with her family, Angie faced the daunting task of securing a Special Immigrant Juvenile visa. With JFAI's legal support, Angie's visa was approved, opening doors to family reunification, education, work, and a brighter future. This outcome reflects hope and persistence, made possible by your vital contributions. Your support has directly led to such life-changing outcomes.

We are also inspired daily by our dedicated team, highlighting Gabriela Lopez-Compean, one of our  Managing Attorneys. Her passion for assisting others through the complex immigration process extends beyond legal advocacy, fostering a nurturing community for clients.

Our achievements are the result of joint efforts, showcasing the solidarity of our community. The contributions, affection, and support of our donors and volunteers drive our initiatives, allowing us to create positive change. I am grateful to supporters like St. Paul's United Methodist Church, whose recent grant to JFAI enhances our capacity to provide high-quality legal services to immigrants in need. Thank you for your enduring support and for being an integral part of our community.

With Gratitude,

Joy Green

Executive Director
