Holly Hudley's journey with Justice for All Immigrants (JFAI) began six years ago when a friend invited her to an event that highlighted critical issues facing immigrant communities. With a strong background in education and a passion for immigration reform, she recognized the urgent need for equal access to opportunities for all students, regardless of their immigration status. Her commitment was deepened by her experiences working with immigrant populations in schools, where she witnessed the struggles of undocumented students navigating the college application process and the complexities of DACA.
As Holly engaged more with JFAI, she observed the organization's remarkable growth and transformation. "I think the leadership is much steadier and efficient. The mission has expanded, and I'm excited that we've grown into San Antonio," she shares. Beyond her board responsibilities, Holly actively contributes financially and builds connections within the community, staying attuned to the challenges immigrant families face.
In her work, Holly emphasizes the importance of improving access to services for long-term undocumented individuals amid rising concerns in the Greater Houston Area. She envisions a future for JFAI that continues providing high-quality legal support while strengthening partnerships with community organizations to ensure thorough care in areas like mental health and housing. As she approaches the end of her term, Holly is devoted to leaving JFAI with stronger community connections and a clear mission, serving as a powerful reminder of the impact one individual can make in the fight for justice, and we are profoundly grateful for her leadership and vision.
